Internal UT Transfer Students

Any UT student from another college who wants to transfer to the Tickle College of Engineering should make an appointment to visit the Engineering Advising Office to discuss academic planning and the transfer process. The decision of being admitted into an engineering major resides with the department head/associate department head in the major department of choice.

Second Bachelor’s Degree Students

Students applying for a second degree in engineering should apply for admission using the online application.

Students interested in a second bachelor’s degree should schedule an appointment with the associate department head or department head of the major of interest to discuss academic planning for that major.

• The engineering curriculums can be found in the current UT catalog. Transfer students will want to compare their course evaluation provided as part of the admissions process with the current curriculum to see what requirements have been met.
• The Registrar’s Office provides course transfer equivalency tables for Tennessee community colleges and four-year schools. Use these to determine how courses you are currently taking at other Tennessee schools compare to UT classes.
